Hello! My name is Allison Banks and I am excited to be a part of the Allen and Furr Insurance Agency. I have a background as a Registered Nurse, specializing in NICU and Cardiac Care. Recently, I made a personal career change to Insurance. I had a vision and passion to carry on the legacy of my father, Bill Furr, who started this agency over 40 years ago. I am passionate about helping people! I strive to build a relationship with my clients, understand their business and guide them through their questions so they are able to make the best decision. A few of the areas I am licensed in are:

I live in Cumming, GA and have 2 wonderful boys and a Golden Retriever named Riley. In my spare time I enjoy watching my boys play baseball, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

I have been in the insurance industry since 2006 and joined the Allen & Furr agency in 2012. My expertise are in the Commercial insurance arena, specifically focusing on property and casualty, and group benefits. We represent many excellent insurance companies and brokerage houses. I enjoy working with my commercial clients and providing them with the coverage they need so their exposures are properly covered and their claims get paid. I appreciate working in commercial insurance because every account that I touch is different. Working with a challenging risk to find a carrier and provide clients with the coverage they need is a challenge I thoroughly enjoy. We pride ourselves in establishing relationships with our clients and are proud to be their risk managers.

I joined the agency in 2012. Prior to Allen & Furr, I completed a B.S.B.A. from Auburn University. I continued to work for 15 years as a Human Resource professional/consultant in the manufacturing industry and benefit law. I took some years away from the business world to spend time with my family and raising my children. My prior HR experience gives me a unique insight to the insurance industry. I obtained my P&C agent’s license in 2013 to further my knowledge. My years at Allen & Furr started with the personal lines and has evolved to commercial lines. My diverse background with benefit planning for corporations and risk management allows a comprehensive understanding of our client’s needs. I find pride in servicing a client from the start and navigating any business changes to keep them happy, compliant and properly insured.
